about maddy

I didn't expect my life to change overnight.
BUT IT DID.
A stage 4 cancer diagnosis has a way of doing that - of stopping everything you thought you knew, and replacing it with something you didn't choose.
I was in the middle of a West End career.
A lifelong dream, finally happening.
And then, overnight, everything stopped.
What I wasn't prepared for...

Because the hardest part isn’t always what people think...
It’s not just the treatment.
Or the appointments.
Or the diagnosis itself.
It’s the space that comes afterwards.
When things are quieter on the outside… but not on the inside.
The waiting.
The uncertainty.
The way your thoughts can take you somewhere you didn’t mean to go.
And the strange experience of looking completely fine - while feeling anything but.

why this work exists
I created this space because I couldn’t find it when I needed it. There was support for the medical side. There was information about treatment.
But there was very little for the emotional reality of living through it - and beyond it.
The fear. The identity shift. The in-between.
The parts that don’t always get said out loud
nothing here is sugar coated
I’m an ICF Accredited Wayfinder Life Coach, trained by Martha Beck.
But more than that, I’m someone who understands what this feels like.
My work is gentle, conversational, and led by you.
I’ll often ask simple questions.
The kind that give you space to hear yourself more clearly.
Because this isn’t about being told what to do.
It’s about reconnecting with what already exists within you - even if it feels hard to access right now.

This isn’t about becoming someone new
It’s about finding your way back to yourself
- in a way that makes sense now.

The Fear Nobody Talks About
A simple, supportive course for the moments that feel hardest to navigate. The shock.
The waiting.
The spiral of ‘what if’ thoughts.
The feeling of being stuck somewhere you didn’t choose.
You won’t be asked to fix anything.
Or rush anything.
Just to begin, gently.
This is a space that people come to when they need something real. And it’s a space that professionals feel confident recommending - because the support here is thoughtful, grounded, and deeply human.
You don’t have to carry this on your own.
